Trent Darcy Smith is a disabled Navy veteran and novelist. Although he has always had an affinity for literature, it took several years before he began writing. While watching a show about a famous writer named Hank Moody, who suffers severely from writer’s block due to lack of inspiration, he wondered how difficult it would be to actually author a novel. Trent opened his laptop to find out...and has never stopped writing since. His first book is a fictional tale entitled “Solomon: The Novel”, and was published in e-book format in 2008.
Since then, he has gone on to write six other novels, and is presently working on an autobiography of the life and times of Black Panther Leader Malik Rahim, as well as a book on the history of the Maroons in New Orleans, Louisiana. Mr. Smith presently lives in New Orleans with his wife and two children.
